In the salon
A single salon session where your skin professional applies the mask with an intensive depigmenting action. The Cosmelan 1 peel is applied and left on for 6-10 hours.
At Home
The treatment continues at home. On the third day, the skin will have some extreme peeling. After 7 days, the second step using Cosmelan 2 is applied to prevent reoccurrence. This is a tyrosinase inhibitor, which works by sedating the production of excess melanin. The depigmentation process continues and we work on the source of the problem for a lasting result. Under the direction of your skin professional you must adhere to a regimen for the application of the cosmeceuticals that compliment the method, which will vary according to the phase and progress of the treatment.
